Touchy Feely, Close Talking, Mouth Breathing Puppy…
So as promised…I know i’m really late. Allright…here goes.
My manager hired this kid to be our LDP (Leadership Development Program) It’s a development program to help the younger crowd move up quickly in the company. So she hired this guy and we are stuck with him for a full 6 months. No one in my department volunteered to be his budy (keep in mind no one knew him yet). I told her if no one else came forward, i guessed i would be the buddy…I will never do this again. I have been the buddy or trainer for almost every new employee in the past two years. i will never do it again. i have been scarred for life after this one.
His first day, was the day reference in the truancy post…I was not at work that day. My manager was in a class that day…so neither of us were available. i came in on Tuesday and met the puppy…We’ll just call him a puppy (that is what he reminds of, the kind that tries to hump your leg and no matter what you do he won’t go away). So the first day i wasn’t totally disturbed by him. i mean he was new and sometimes people act strange on their first couple of days, nerves and all…ok, well the weirdness didn’t go away. it has now been like 3 weeks. he loves to touch, he loves to get right in your face and talk, comes into the office sits down in a chair…doesn’t leave the chair where it’s supposed to be, pulls it so close he is litterally touching me and i can’t move. And to top it all off, he’s a mouth breather.
Last week he followed me into my office after a meeting and proceeded to ask me how i thought the meeting went, i said, “well, you were there, how do you think it went?!?!” in his disgustingly eager way, he missed the sarcasm. My manager came in and he asked her the same thing…ultimately she said that i needed a break and to go take a break…then she left my office…he kept standing there as i was getting a ciggarette out and he said “are you going to take a break? I could really use a break.” I just looked at him and said, “I am going to take a break, i’m going to get one of my friends.” I walked away and had to duck into the ladies room to get away from him.
Anyone not feel the puppy is a freak?!?! he still has not gotten the point. My manager was teasing me and said she was going to put it in my objectives as part of my job to turn him into a better employee. She’s absolutely insane! She was kidding.
So I went online and tried to find a picture of him at work, but it’s not published yet…couldn’t find him on myspace either. i did however do a search of nerds in google image and i found the picture below…
FYI…I have other updates to make, but now it’s too late. Enjoy…and any thoughts of how to get rid of the puppy would be greatly appreciated!
Quick update on my life…
First and formost: Last week…
we all know what happened Monday…if you don’t, ummm read the post if you have the password. Stayed at Stacie’s part of the week (I think that’s old news too) I had a blast!
Worked some insane hours. Wednesday I worked a 16 hour day and woke up Thursday with only a few hours of sleep and decided to go to work in jeans. i didn’t wash my hair either so it was a blah day. I had to be in early for a meeting with my manager and i had a deadline to meet so it was absolutely insane. We started the meeting talking about how my forecasting was going and how i stayed up all night working on it and whatnot. Then she said close the door. I was thinking, OMG…i don’t know what i did to be in trouble, but here goes…I only thought this because she got all serious. Then she said something to the effect of, I know it doesn’t help much, but hopefully it will help some. This has been a long time coming and i know it’s over due but i just wanted you to know how much i appreciate you. She gave me a promotion! Finally!!! YES, I am now a level 2 (it only took 3 years and nearly going insane and killing myself at work)
So that is my big news from last week. Friday night i hung out at home with Greg. Saturday I did laundry all day and slept. Got up and showered and went up to Jeremy’s. We went to Best Buy, Borders, and Game Stop. We also went out to dinner at Barley and Hops. I love that place. Then Sunday we got up and both went tanning then i went home to change clothes, went back up to his house and we went to Hagerstown shopping.
Why Hagerstown you ask??? Well, it’s a nice mall. I ordered some stuff from Victoria’s Secret Catalog last weekend and wanted to exchange 2 of the items. I thought i could return them to the store. WRONG! (Insert frustrating rant here). Seriously, they told me they were two different companies even though you can use the same credit card in the store as you can use online and through the cataloge. i was so pissed! I still managed to get 5 new pairs of cottons and a new strapless and a thong to match. We also went to Hot Topic (a favorite store). Jeremy bought me a Lucky 13 T-shirt and some hair barettes and a key chain and a pink skull and crossbone patch. we went out to a late lunch then we went to an orchard near my parents house to buy some fruit. it is so good! we got white peaches, yellow peaches, nectarines and apricots. i love fruit.
This week has been insane already. Monday was OMG, just yesterday! I went to work a little late because i overslept. I left a half hour early to go to my parents house for dinner. Dawn, Shawn and Jacob came over…we had a cookout inside. it was good. nice to be with my mom and milt mostly. I came home and worked until 3:3o in the morning. needless to say today i’ve been wasted tired. didn’t help that i woke up with cramps this morning. I am blaming my office mate Danielle. She is blaming me…i’m a week early and she’s a week late. i think there must be someone else we can blame.
going to bed now….need drugs and sleep.

Condom Rant
ok, i’ve been meaning to do this for a while…i have a few complaints that i’d like to share so that no one has the terrible slightly akward experiences that i’ve had.
1. Have you heard of this condom
?
Total rip off…do not buy! I was so excited about them…I hate condoms so i’m always looking for new and interesting condoms. These sounded like they could be interesting…well it is false advertising. According to their ad, they…
So to sum it up…they suck! I would not recommend them at all, in fact, i feel like sending a letter to trojan telling them just how bad they are. On to the second one…
2. This is the biggest rip off of the century for many reasons…have you seen this line? http://www.elexabytrojan.com/index.aspx I won’t bore you with the pictures, but I highly suggest you check out the page and all of their offerings…Elexa (is that supposed to make a woman want to buy something? is it some sort of superhero name???)
Ok, so I sucumbed to my curiousity and bought them. The site and the box has the following description:

So maybe after reading that I should have assumed it was a regular condom? well I still thought it was the condom for women (which i have been unable to find and am extremely curious).
Here are the complaints:
- Strong Latex smell
- they only come in one size: Extra Large (ok, let’s face it ladies…not every guy, in fact most guys do not fit into that categorie.)
- Because of the one size that is available, they are actually semi dangerous because if the condom is that big, it could potentially fall off.
I have one good thing to say…they have Freshening cloths which are great, however with a price of $12 for 12 little wet wipes, i kind of have a problem.
Let’s add this to the rant above…they are more expensive than regular condoms and as you can see they are terrible.

Playing Catch-up
So…it’s been quite a long while since i’ve decided to update everyone on my oh so exciting life (insert extreme sarcasm here)
I had an amazing 4th of July weekend…I took off work early that Friday. Went home and basically just vegged out. Saturday i got up and went to Frederick and went tanning (bliss) then took Vernon lunch at his new job which is consequently right next to the tanning salon. After that i went home and took a nap and went to Jeremy’s. Saturday night we went to a party at my friend’s Steve & Cara’s house. it was ok. We hung out with Jamie for most of the night then went to the grocery store and then went home. Sunday we went to the outlets and made stops in ecko, jcrew and pacsun. i got the cutest bikini in jcrew for $14…it was originally $60 (you know i can’t resist a sale) i got a few other things in there then Jeremy got 4 nice shirts in ecko. we finished at pacsun where i bought a new pair of jeans (no holes) they are cute too. i love the color and they fit really well. ultra low rise teenage jeans in the dirty denim look with a lot of flare at the bottom. i also bought a new roxy hoody and a tee shirt and 2 new belly rings because they were $5 each. i got a necklace for free because the jewlery was actualy buy two get one free.
when we got back to frederick we went to the grocery store. Jeremy went to haircuttery which is right next store to get a haircut while i did the shopping. when i went to pick him up, i decided to stay and get some blond put in my hair.(did i forget to mention that on Friday night when i was vegging out i died my hair RED…really RED? i needed to tone it down a bit. when he picked me up from getting my hair done we went straight downtown to Brewer’s ally for drinks and dinner with some friends from work. we were there for like 5 hours before deciding that enough was enough;) we went by Lorence and Beth’s (the friends we were with) for alittle while and just hung out at the pool. i got eaten alive (well my feet did) they must be extra sweet.
On monday we spent the day with my parents. we made homemade jalepeno poppers, got a half bushel of crabs and had a bbq. it was fun. after we ate, we watched the Indian Runner. it was a great family movie. highly recommend it to everyone!
Tuesday we spent the day at Lawrence and Beth’s with some of their friends. we had a cook out lot’s to drink and just lounged in the pool all day. it was fun. So you can see i had a great 4th!
Wednesday was back to work and i won’t bore you with the details but let’s just say that for those 3 days i had a lot of overtime. TOO MUCH!
This Friday night i was going to just stay home and work on getting my clothes put away (which are all over the floor). Jeremy called me when he got home (I was on my way home) and told me he thought i should really just come over there. I went tanning, came home and took a nap then picked up chinese and went to his house. i took a shower when i got there to wash off the spray on tanning yuck. we had dinner and just hung out. Saturday we went up to hagerstown to go shopping. we went to the locked door (one of those bad stores) i got a really cute pair of shoes there. not hookerish or anything. then we went to frederick. i got a tatoo.(like how i just threw that in there) it’s really little on the back of my neck at my hairline. you can’t see it unless i have my hair up. it’s a cresent moon and a star…typical for me i think. it didn’t really hurt either. Jeremy bought me a new eyebrow ring because he said that he really liked it when i wore it. then he gave me his credit card and the victorias secret cataloge and said to order some things. i bought two bras and matching panties and a new bikini and the cover up skirt that goes with it. did i mention he paid for the tattoo? i wouldn’t ever spend money for myself like that. only when necesary. When we got home we made jalepeno poppers and patted hamburgers and went to our friend Toms house for a party. He just had a new deck built and a hot tub installed. it was kind of fun. i didn’t like most of the people there, but my friend Carrie and her sister Kris who i know pretty well were both there. it was nice catching up with them. Kris decided that her and i were getting in the hottub…i didn’t take my bathing suit so i went in in my bra and panties…it was more conservative than some bikini’s that i have so i wasn’t worried. Jeremy was sweet. he lit ciggarettes for me and refilled my drink a lot and massaged my head while i was in the tub. it was fun. we came home around 2 in the morning i think and just colapsed in bed. slept late this morning. we woke up around 9:30….he checked on movie times and we went to see Pirates at 10:00am. it was great. another movie i highly recommend especially if you saw the first one. when we got back i had a bad stomach ache though…like cramps i think i was ovulating. i was going to go to Stace’s tonight but i felt so icky. i came home and crashed. felt better when i woke up.
Greg and i had a talk about the rent. he said he doesn’t have $650 but if he did he would give it to me. he said he can give me $500 this month. he starts a new job tomorrow and if it goes well and he makes some money next month he’ll be able to give me more. he said he understands how broke i am and that he helped get me there but that he doesn’t want to live with anyone else. not because of the money thing but because he doesn’t like anyone else enough. he said he loved me and couldn’t imagine trying to get along with anyone else. he said it’s easy with you, we have fun together and don’t fight. which is all true. he’s said he’s going to sit down with me and go over all the bills and help me come up with a plan to put some money away. i think that’s good. We’ll have to wait and see, but i know he’s trying and he thought about what i said to him in the emails that i sent.
